This 1,800 sq. ft. Chalet, located 25 minutes from Vail, offers stunning views of Homestake Valley. The chalet is situated on a 55-acre private property and is surrounded by the White River National Forest. Absolutely no neighbors. Unplug and explore the property, the Holy Cross Wilderness, or Camp Hale’s historic trails, relax under the stars, or gather for an intimate mountain celebration.


Guests will have private access to all amenities and spaces in the chalet, including three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room, balcony, laundry facilities, and a 620SF Biergarten.
Chalet Homestake View is an Off‑Grid & Eco‑Conscious Living experience! Electricity is provided via solar panels connected to 22kw of battery storage. a 15kw propane generator backup, a cozy pellet stove, radiant floor heating, high‑efficiency appliances, and state-of-the-art triple‑paned tilt-turn windows.
Starlink internet keeps you connected, although we prefer to be disconnected from technology in order to reconnect to the nature and beauty Homestake View has to offer.
Chalet Homestake View was constructed in a workshop in Bramberg, Austria, by Holzbau Maier, then shipped and assembled on site. This 1,800 sq ft chalet blends Austrian larch cladding, a gabled roof with generous eaves, and a whimsical glockendome bell tower with a copper rooster.
The Chalet is designed to impress! Built in February–March of 2024 with assembly by Austrian master carpenters and finished locally by Balance Point Construction (Avon), boasting high-efficiency windows, solid wood doors, and crafted moldings. The property’s woodwork features reclaimed Austrian spruce, and handcrafted furniture designed and built by your hosts, Bryon and Diane.
